Car
To reach Dee Wright Observatory by car, start by getting onto OR-126 E from your location in Lane County. If you're near Eugene, take I-105 E to OR-126 E. Continue on OR-126 E until you reach the junction with McKenzie Hwy/OR-242. Take the exit onto McKenzie Hwy/OR-242 and continue for approximately 20 miles. The observatory will be on your left, just past the junction towards Sisters, Oregon. There is no entrance fee, but parking is available.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, take the Lane Transit District (LTD) bus from Eugene to the town of Blue River. Check the LTD website for the latest schedules. Once in Blue River, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you the remaining 6 miles to the Dee Wright Observatory, as public transit does not extend directly to the observatory. Expect to pay for the taxi or rideshare service, which can vary in cost depending on the time of day and availability.
