Getting There

Car
If you are driving, start from Skardu city and head southwest on the Skardu to Deosai National Park road. Continue for approximately 30 km until you reach the entrance of Deosai National Park. Once inside the park, follow the main road towards the Sheosar Lake area. After about 20 km, look for a sign directing you towards Saher Viewpoint. The viewpoint is about 5 km off the main road, so be prepared for a slightly rougher terrain. Park your car at the designated area and follow the marked trail for approximately 500 meters to reach Saher Viewpoint. Wooden Bridge is located nearby and can be reached by walking back to the main path and continuing along the trail.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus or shared van from Skardu city to the entrance of Deosai National Park. Several local service providers offer this route. Once you reach the entrance, you can either hire a jeep for a day trip into the park or join a guided tour. Ask the driver to drop you off at the Saher Viewpoint. Be sure to negotiate the fare beforehand; expect to pay around PKR 3000-5000 for the round trip. After visiting Saher Viewpoint, Wooden Bridge is a short walk away, so make sure to allocate enough time for your return journey.

Hiking
If you are feeling adventurous and are already in the Deosai National Park, you can hike to Saher Viewpoint and Wooden Bridge. From the main road, follow the trail signs towards Sheosar Lake, then look for the path leading to Saher Viewpoint. The hike is approximately 2 km with moderate difficulty. Plan for about 1.5 to 2 hours to reach the viewpoint, and ensure you are well-equipped with water and snacks. After enjoying the view, head back down the path towards Wooden Bridge, which is a 1 km walk from Saher Viewpoint.
