Getting There

Car
From your location in Deosai National Park, head south towards Skardu. The journey will take you approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on road conditions. Follow the main road that leads out of the park towards Skardu. Once you reach the outskirts of Skardu, look for signs directing you to the River Indus viewpoint. The viewpoint is located near the main road, approximately 10 km from the city center.

Public Transportation (Minibus)
To reach the River Indus viewpoint via public transportation, take a minibus from Deosai National Park to Skardu. Buses leave frequently from various points in the park. The fare is usually around PKR 300-500. Upon reaching Skardu, you can either walk or take a local taxi to the River Indus viewpoint, which is about 10 km from the minibus terminal. Expect to pay around PKR 200-300 for a taxi.

Walking
If you are adventurous and prefer walking, you can trek from the center of Skardu to the River Indus viewpoint. The walk is approximately 10 km and can take 2-3 hours. Head south from Skardu along the main road and look for signs towards the viewpoint. Ensure you have sufficient water and snacks for the journey.

Bicycle
For those who enjoy cycling, renting a bicycle in Skardu is a great way to explore the area. After reaching Skardu, rent a bicycle (cost around PKR 500-1000 per day) and cycle south towards the River Indus viewpoint. The ride is scenic and will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
