Getting There

Car
If you are driving from Gilgit, head southeast on the Karakoram Highway (N-35) for about 45 km until you reach the town of Jaglot. From Jaglot, take the road towards Skardu (N-15) and continue for approximately 60 km. Look for a sign indicating the turnoff to Kharfaq. This is a smaller road that may not be well marked, so ensure you have a map or GPS. Drive for about 15 km on this road until you reach the village of Kharfaq. Parking is generally available in the village.

Public Transportation
From Gilgit, you can take a shared taxi or a minibus heading towards Skardu. These vehicles usually depart from the main bus stand in Gilgit. Inform the driver you want to stop at Kharfaq. The journey to Jaglot will take about 1 hour, and from Jaglot to Skardu approximately another 2 hours. Once in Jaglot, you will need to find local transport (possibly a jeep) to take you to Kharfaq village. Expect to pay around PKR 500-700 for the shared taxi from Gilgit to Jaglot, and additional costs for the local transport to Kharfaq.
