The Buddha Rock Carvings are located just outside the village, follow the local signs or ask villagers for directions to the carvings, which are marked with a small path leading up to the site.

For those using public transportation, take a jeep or bus from Skardu to Shigar. The journey will take about 1-1.5 hours. Once you reach Shigar, you can find local jeep services that go to Saling. It’s best to ask the driver to drop you off at Saling village. From Saling village, the Buddha Rock Carvings are a short hike away. You may need to pay a small fee for the jeep ride, typically around PKR 500-1000, depending on the negotiation.
