Start at the Gettysburg National Cemetery, located at 97 Taneytown Rd, Gettysburg, PA 17325. Head southwest on Taneytown Rd toward Baltimore St for about 0.5 miles. At the intersection, turn right onto Baltimore St (US-15 S). Continue walking for another 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Blacksmith Shop Rd. Turn left onto Blacksmith Shop Rd, and walk for about 0.2 miles. You will see George Spangler Farm & Field Hospital on your left at 488 Blacksmith Shop Rd.

If you have access to a bike, start at the Gettysburg Visitor Center located at 1195 Baltimore Pike, Gettysburg, PA 17325. Head west on Baltimore Pike for about 1 mile, then turn right onto Taneytown Rd. Continue on Taneytown Rd for about 0.5 miles before turning left onto US-15 S. Proceed for another mile and turn left onto Blacksmith Shop Rd. George Spangler Farm & Field Hospital will be on your left in about 0.2 miles.
