Walking
From the heart of Fairmount, head east on Fairmount Avenue until you reach the intersection with 22nd Street. Turn left onto 22nd Street and continue walking until you reach the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The Philadelphia Museum of Art will be directly in front of you at the end of the Parkway. Total walking distance is approximately 1 mile, which should take about 20 minutes.

Public Transportation - Bus
From anywhere in Fairmount, locate the nearest bus stop that services the SEPTA bus routes. Take the Route 43 bus towards the Art Museum. You can board the bus at various stops along Fairmount Avenue. The fare for a single-ride ticket is $2.50, which you can pay in cash or by using a SEPTA Key card. Get off at the stop closest to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and it will be a short walk from there.

Public Transportation - Subway
If you're near the Girard Avenue stop on the Market-Frankford Line, board a train heading west towards 69th Street Terminal. Transfer at 69th Street to the 15th Street stop. From there, walk up the stairs and transfer to the Broad Street Line at City Hall. Take the Broad Street Line northbound to the Spring Garden stop. Exit and walk west along Spring Garden Street until you reach the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. The museum is just ahead, directly on the Parkway. Total travel time is about 30-40 minutes, with a fare of $2.50.
