If you're driving in Piedmont, start by getting onto Main St. Head south toward US-74 E. Merge onto US-74 E and follow it for approximately 15 miles. Take the exit for I-485 S toward Pineville. Continue on I-485 S for about 5 miles, then take exit 64 for NC-51 S toward Pineville. Merge onto NC-51 S and continue for about 2 miles until you reach Lancaster Hwy. Turn left onto Lancaster Hwy. After a short drive, the President James K. Polk State Historic Site will be on your right at 12031 Lancaster Hwy, Pineville, NC 28134. Make sure to check for parking availability upon arrival.
