If you're traveling by car, start from Chivay, the main town in Colca Canyon. Head south on the main road (Route 30A) for approximately 20 km. Look for the signs indicating the direction to the town of Yanque; you will pass through Yanque on your route. Continue south and then take a right turn onto the road towards the town of Coporaque. Follow this road for about 10 km until you reach the junction for Panahua. The final stretch is a dirt road that requires careful driving. The location is approximately 5 km from the junction, and you may need a 4x4 vehicle depending on the weather conditions. Keep an eye out for landmarks, as GPS may not be entirely reliable in this remote area.

For those using public transportation, begin your journey in Chivay. You can take a colectivo (shared taxi) heading towards Cabanaconde. Ask the driver to drop you off at the junction for Coporaque. The colectivo ride will cost around 10-15 soles and takes about 30-40 minutes. Once you reach the junction, you will need to find a local taxi willing to take you the remaining distance to Panahua. This taxi ride may cost you between 20-30 soles, depending on negotiation and the condition of the road. It's advisable to have some basic Spanish phrases ready to communicate with the taxi driver.
