Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the town of Urubamba, which is centrally located in the Sacred Valley. Head east on the PE-28 road. After approximately 20 minutes, you will reach the town of Ollantaytambo. Continue on the PE-28 for another 15 minutes until you reach the junction for the road leading to the Temple of the Moon. Turn right onto a smaller paved road until you arrive at the Temple. Keep in mind that parking may be available nearby, but it's wise to check for local regulations.

Public Transportation (Bus)
From Urubamba, you can take a local bus that heads to Ollantaytambo. Buses are frequent and should cost around 2-5 soles per person. Once in Ollantaytambo, you will need to transfer to another bus heading towards the Temple of the Moon. The cost for this second leg may vary, but expect to pay around 10 soles. Inform the driver of your destination to ensure you get off at the right stop. The total journey may take approximately 1 hour.

Taxi
For a more comfortable and direct option, consider hiring a taxi from your location in Sacred Valley. You can negotiate the fare beforehand, which typically costs between 30 to 50 soles depending on your starting point. The taxi will take you directly to the Temple of the Moon, and the journey should take around 30 minutes from Urubamba or Ollantaytambo.

Walking (from Ollantaytambo)
If you are already in Ollantaytambo, you can opt for a scenic walk to the Temple of the Moon. Start at the main square of Ollantaytambo and follow the road that leads towards the Temple. The walk is about 4 kilometers and will take about 1 hour. This option allows you to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Sacred Valley. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.
