Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Gdańsk Main Train Station (Gdańsk Główny), exit the station and head towards the main street, which is called ul. 3 Maja. Walk straight along this street until you reach the intersection with ul. Długi Targ. Turn left onto ul. Długi Targ and continue walking until you see the Green Gate (Zielona Brama) on your right. From the Green Gate, continue straight along the waterfront. After passing the marina, you will arrive at Ołowianka Island. The ship-museum 'Sołdek' is located at Ołowianka 9-13, which will be on your left side. The walk should take about 20-25 minutes.

  • Public Transport

    From the Gdańsk Main Train Station (Gdańsk Główny), take tram line 6 or 8 from the nearby tram stop called 'Gdańsk Główny'. Ride for two stops and get off at 'Złota Brama'. From there, walk towards the waterfront and head towards the Green Gate (Zielona Brama). After passing it, continue straight along the waterfront until you reach Ołowianka Island. The ship-museum 'Sołdek' is located at Ołowianka 9-13, on the left side. The entire journey, including the tram ride, will take about 30-35 minutes.

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations available around Gdańsk. Start at the Gdańsk Main Train Station (Gdańsk Główny) and head towards ul. 3 Maja, then turn left onto ul. Długi Targ. Continue to the waterfront, where you can cycle along the Motława River. After passing the Green Gate (Zielona Brama), continue towards Ołowianka Island. The ship-museum 'Sołdek' is located at Ołowianka 9-13, on your left. The cycling route should take approximately 15-20 minutes.
