If you are in the center of Chaves, start at the Praça Camões, the main square. From there, head east on Rua do Comércio until you reach the junction with Rua da Liberdade. Turn right onto Rua da Liberdade. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Avenida 5 de Outubro. Cross the street and continue straight on Avenida 5 de Outubro. After about 300 meters, you will see the Núcleo Museológico Ferroviário de Chaves on your left, at the address 5400-234 Chaves.

You can take a local bus from the main bus station in Chaves. Head to the terminal and look for the bus line that goes towards the train station. Once you get off at the 'Estação da CP' (the train station), exit the station and turn left.
