If you're driving from Ericeira, start by heading south on Estrada Nacional 247 (EN247) towards the A21 highway. Continue on the A21 until you reach the exit for A8 toward Lisbon. Merge onto A8 and follow the signs for Lisbon. Once you're in Lisbon, take the exit for Eixo Norte-Sul (IC17) and follow the signs for the city center. As you approach Alfama, look for signs directing you to the historic neighborhoods. Park your car in one of the nearby parking garages or on the street, then walk to Escadinhas de São Miguel, which is located in the heart of Alfama.

Public Transportation
To reach Escadinhas de São Miguel via public transportation, start by taking the bus from Ericeira to Lisbon. You can catch the bus at the Ericeira bus terminal. The ride will take approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Lisbon bus terminal, walk to the nearest metro station (Campo Martim Moniz is a good option). Take the Green Line (Linha Verde) towards Cais do Sodré and get off at the Martim Moniz station. From there, exit the station and walk towards the Alfama neighborhood. Follow Rua da Conceição until you reach the steep streets of Alfama, then make your way to Escadinhas de São Miguel, which will be on your right.
