Walking
If you are starting from the historic center of Guimarães, head northwest towards Praça de São Tiago. From there, continue straight to Largo da Oliveira. At Largo da Oliveira, you will see the Church of Nossa Senhora da Oliveira. Walk past the church, and you will reach Rua de Santo António. Turn left onto Rua de Santo António and then take the first right onto Largo da Misericórdia. Escultura de D. Afonso Henriques is located at Largo da Misericórdia 1, right in the square.

If you are near the Guimarães Castle, exit the castle grounds and head southeast on Rua de São Mamede. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Rua da Rainha. Turn left onto Rua da Rainha and walk until you reach Largo da Oliveira. Follow the previous directions from Largo da Oliveira to Largo da Misericórdia.
