If you are starting from the central square of Guimarães, Praça de São Tiago, head northeast on Rua de São Tiago towards the intersection with Rua de Afonso Henriques. Turn right onto Rua de Afonso Henriques and continue straight until you reach the junction with Avenida de Conde de Margaride. Here, turn left and walk along Avenida de Conde de Margaride until you see the signs for Parque do Castelo. The park entrance is a short walk from the main avenue.

From the central bus station in Guimarães, take the bus number 22, which heads towards Centro Histórico. Get off at the stop 'Caminho do Castelo'. From there, it's a short walk to the entrance of Parque do Castelo e Paço dos Duques de Bragança. Follow the signs for 'Caminho do Castelo' and you will see the park entrance.
