If you're starting from the city center, head to the nearest metro station, São Bento. Take the Line D (Yellow line) towards Hospital de São João. Get off at the next stop, Trindade. From Trindade station, transfer to Line A (Blue line) towards Senhor de Matosinhos. Ride for just one stop and disembark at the next station, which is Aliados. Once you exit Aliados station, walk straight ahead towards Avenida dos Aliados. Continue on this avenue until you reach the roundabout, then take the first exit onto Rua de Camões. After a short walk, you will find Praça Dom João I on your left.

If you prefer walking, start at the iconic São Bento railway station. Exit the station and turn left onto Rua de 31 de Janeiro. Continue straight until you reach Avenida dos Aliados.
