If you are driving, enter '110 Benevolent St, Providence, RI 02906' into your GPS. From the center of Providence, head east on Exchange St toward Washington St. Continue onto I-95 S and take exit 22 for US-44 E toward Smithfield. Merge onto US-44 E and follow signs for RI-10 S. Take the exit toward US-1 S/US-6 W. Stay on US-1 S and follow signs for I-95 N. Take exit 23 for Broadway. Turn left onto Broadway, then turn right onto Benevolent St. The Rhode Island Historical Society will be on your right. There is limited street parking available nearby.

For public transportation, take the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus service. Check the RIPTA website for current schedules, but a common route is Bus 1 or 22, which stops near the downtown area. Board the bus and travel to the 'Benevolent St at Hope St' stop. From the bus stop, walk east on Benevolent Street for about 5 minutes. The Rhode Island Historical Society will be on your left. A one-way fare is typically around $2.00, and you can pay with cash or a RIPTA pass.
