If you are driving from anywhere in Kent County, start by getting onto I-95 N. Depending on your exact location in Kent County, you can access I-95 via local routes. Once on I-95 N, continue for about 15 miles. Take exit 23 for I-195 E toward Cape Cod. Stay on I-195 E for about 2 miles and take exit 2 for Gano St. Merge onto Gano St and continue straight for about 1 mile. You will see Governor St on your left. Turn left onto Governor St, and the Mile of History Association will be on your right at 1 Governor St, Providence, RI 02903.

To reach the Mile of History Association using public transportation, you can take the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus service. Start at your nearest bus stop and board the #60 or #66 bus heading towards Providence. Stay on the bus for approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on your starting point. Disembark at the 'Governor St' stop. From there, walk about 5 minutes to reach 1 Governor St, where the Mile of History Association is located. Be sure to check the RIPTA schedule for the most accurate timings and fare information. A one-way bus fare is approximately $2.00.
