If you're driving, head towards Newport, RI. From Route 1, take Exit 3 for RI-138 E toward Jamestown/Newport. Follow RI-138 E until you reach the end of the bridge, then merge onto US-1 S. Continue on US-1 S, then take the exit toward downtown Newport. Follow the signs to Washington Street, and you will find Hunter House at 54 Washington St, Newport, RI 02840. There is street parking available, but be sure to check for any parking meters or restrictions.
Public Transportation
For public transportation, you can take the RIPTA (Rhode Island Public Transit Authority) bus service. Look for Bus Route 60, which runs from South County to Newport. Once you arrive in Newport, get off at the Newport Gateway Center. From there, it’s a short walk to Hunter House. Head northwest on America’s Cup Avenue, turn left onto Washington Street, and you will see Hunter House at 54 Washington St. Make sure to check the bus schedule as service may vary.
Walking
If you are already in downtown Newport, you can easily walk to Hunter House. Start at the Newport Harbor area and head north on Thames Street. Continue straight until you reach Washington Street, then turn right.
