Walking
If you're in the center of Westerly, head southeast on Main Street towards Atlantic Avenue. Continue straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Route 1. Cross Route 1 and head towards the Westerly Train Station. From there, you can catch a train to New London. Once in New London, transfer to the Long Island Ferry. The ferry terminal is a short walk from the train station.

From downtown Westerly, take the RIPTA bus Route 66 towards Kingston. Get off at the Kingston train station. From there, take a train to New London. At New London, follow the signs to the Long Island Ferry terminal, which is located nearby. Make sure to check the ferry schedule in advance to plan your trip.

If you prefer to cycle, start from the Westerly Town Beach and head north along Atlantic Avenue. Continue until you reach Main Street, then turn left onto Main Street. Follow it until you reach Route 1, then head southeast until you reach the Westerly Train Station. Park your bike at the station and take the train to New London, where you can easily access the Long Island Ferry terminal.
