Getting There

Car
If you are driving from Yawgoo Valley Ski Area, take Yawgoo Valley Rd and head northwest. Merge onto RI-102 N, continue for about 5 miles, then turn left onto RI-138 E. Follow RI-138 E for approximately 6 miles until you reach the junction with US-1 S. Merge onto US-1 S, and continue for about 7 miles. Take the exit toward RI-138 E/Newport. Follow signs to Newport and merge onto RI-138 E. Continue straight onto Thames St. The Museum of Newport History & Shop will be located on your right at 127 Thames St.

Public Transportation
To reach the Museum of Newport History & Shop using public transportation, you will first need to catch the RIPTA bus #60 from the Yawgoo Valley Ski Area. The bus will take you to the Wickford Junction train station. From Wickford Junction, take the train towards Boston and get off at the Newport stop. Once in Newport, transfer to the RIPTA bus #67 towards Newport Waterfront. Get off at the Thames St & Long Wharf stop, and walk south on Thames St for about 5 minutes. The museum will be on your left at 127 Thames St.
