Walking
From the center of Gisenyi, head southeast towards Avenue du Lac. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenue de la Paix. Walk along this road until you reach the bus station. From the bus station, you can take a motorcycle taxi (locally known as 'moto') to Kibuye. Inform the driver you want to go to 'Congo-Nile Trail near Gisovu.' The ride will take about 30 minutes along the scenic road by Lake Kivu. Once you arrive in Kibuye, ask the driver to drop you off near the trailhead indicated by local signs.

Motorcycle Taxi
If you are close to any hotel or the main market in Gisenyi, ask your hotel staff or locals to help you find a motorcycle taxi. Tell the driver you want to go to 'Congo-Nile Trail near Gisovu' in Kibuye. The journey will take roughly 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic and road conditions.
