Car
If you are driving, start from the main entrance of Gishwati-Mukura National Park. Follow the park road towards the northern section. Continue driving for approximately 10 kilometers until you reach the junction marked with a sign for the Agasumo ka Mukinga waterfalls. Turn right at the junction and follow the narrow dirt road for about 2 kilometers until you arrive at the designated parking area near the waterfall trailhead. There may be a small parking fee of around 2,000 RWF.

Public Transportation
To reach Agasumo ka Mukinga waterfalls using public transport, take a bus from Kigali to Ruhengeri. Once you arrive in Ruhengeri, you can catch a local moto-taxi to the main entrance of Gishwati-Mukura National Park. The moto-taxi ride will cost around 5,000 RWF. After reaching the park entrance, you can either walk or hire a guide to take you to the waterfalls. Walking from the entrance to the waterfalls will take around 1 to 1.5 hours depending on your pace.

Hiking
If you prefer hiking, after reaching the parking area near the waterfall trailhead, you will need to hike approximately 30 minutes through the forested area to get to the Agasumo ka Mukinga waterfalls. Follow the marked trail, and be mindful of the natural terrain. It is recommended to wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry water.
