Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving from the main entrance of Gishwati-Mukura National Park, head southeast on the main park road. Follow the signs for Cyuve waterfall. After approximately 10 kilometers, you will reach the turnoff for Cyuve waterfall. Take a left at the junction and continue for another 5 kilometers until you see the parking area. Make sure your vehicle has good ground clearance as some sections of the road can be rough.

  • Public Transportation

    From the nearest town, you will need to take a local bus or shared taxi heading towards Gishwati. Ask the driver to drop you off at the junction leading to Cyuve waterfall. This journey typically costs around 1,000 Rwandan Francs. From the junction, you will need to walk approximately 5 kilometers along the dirt road to reach the waterfall. Be prepared for a bit of a hike, as the path can be uneven.
