Once you reach the trailhead, there is usually parking available, but be mindful of any fees that may apply.

To reach Mount Karisimbi by public transportation, you can take a moto-taxi from Musanze (the nearest city) to the Kinigi park entrance. The ride will cost around 3,000 Rwandan Francs (approximately $3 USD). Upon arrival at the park entrance, you can either walk or hire a local guide who can take you to the Karisimbi trailhead. It is advisable to negotiate the fare with the guide beforehand.
