Walking
From the center of Lata, head southeast towards the main road (Mota Lava Road). Continue walking until you reach the junction where the road forks. Take the left path that leads towards Malapu. Follow this road for approximately 2 kilometers, enjoying the scenic views along the way. Keep an eye out for local signage pointing towards Teutua Loa. Once you reach Malapu, look for a small pathway to your right that leads towards the coast. Teutua Loa is located near the shoreline, and you should see signs or locals directing you towards the tourist attraction.
Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Lata. Start at the main square and head southeast towards Mota Lava Road. Cycle along this road, staying on the left side for safety. After about 2 kilometers, you will encounter a fork in the road. Take the left path towards Malapu. Continue cycling, and as you approach Malapu, look for a small dirt road on your right that leads you towards the coast. Teutua Loa will be accessible from this pathway.
Local Transport (Boat)
For a unique experience, consider taking a local boat from Lata to Malapu. Visit the small harbor in Lata and inquire about boat rides to Malapu. The boats are usually operated by local fishermen or tour guides. Once you arrive at Malapu, follow the same directions as walking: look for a pathway that leads towards the coast, and you will find Teutua Loa nearby.
