    From Mount Rushmore National Memorial, walk to the nearest bus stop located at the visitor center. Board the Custer Area Transit bus heading towards Custer. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Custer Library' stop, which is near the center of town. From there, walk south on S 5th St for about 0.3 miles until you reach the intersection with S Playhouse Rd. Turn left onto S Playhouse Rd and continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you arrive at the Black Hills Playhouse, located at 24834 S Playhouse Rd.

  • Bicycle Rental

    Start from Mount Rushmore and head south on SD-244. After about 1 mile, you will find a designated bike path. Rent a bicycle from a nearby rental service in the area. Continue along the path, which will take you through scenic views of the Black Hills. Follow the bike path until you reach the intersection with S Playhouse Rd, then turn left. Ride for about 0.5 miles, and you will arrive at the Black Hills Playhouse.
