    Getting There

    Walking

    From the main entrance of Mount Rushmore National Memorial, head east on SD-244 toward US-16 Scenic. Continue walking for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with US-16 Scenic. Turn left onto US-16 Scenic. Follow this road for approximately 1.5 miles. You will see the Norbeck Overlook on your right side. It is well marked with signs.

    Public Transportation

    If you are near the Mount Rushmore Visitor Center, you can take the local shuttle service that operates in the area. Check the shuttle schedule and board the shuttle heading towards Keystone. Once you arrive in Keystone, get off at the stop for US-16 Scenic. From there, it is a short 0.3-mile walk. Head southwest on US-16 Scenic, and you will find the Norbeck Overlook on your left.
