Getting There

  • Car

    If you're traveling by car, head towards Sokcho-si, Gangwon-do. From Seoul, take the Donghae Expressway (Route 65) and follow the signs towards Sokcho. Once in Sokcho, follow Seoraksan-ro towards Seoraksan National Park. The entrance is located at Seoraksan-ro, 833 KR. Parking is available at the park entrance, but be aware that there is an entrance fee of approximately 3,000 KRW for adults, and 1,500 KRW for children.

  • Public Transportation - Bus

    For public transportation, take an express bus from Seoul's Dong Seoul Bus Terminal to Sokcho. The journey takes about 2.5 to 3 hours and costs around 25,000 KRW. Once you arrive at Sokcho, transfer to a local bus heading to Seoraksan National Park. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes and costs approximately 2,000 KRW. The bus stop for Seoraksan is near the Sokcho Bus Terminal, and you will want to disembark at the Seoraksan National Park entrance.

  • Public Transportation - Train and Bus

    Alternatively, you can take a train from Seoul to Gangneung Station. From there, take a bus to Sokcho. Once in Sokcho, follow the same steps as above to reach Seoraksan National Park. The train fare to Gangneung is about 50,000 KRW, and the bus from Gangneung to Sokcho costs around 7,000 KRW. This route offers scenic views along the coast and through the mountains.
