Car

If you're starting your journey from Gwangju, take Route 1 towards Jeonju. Continue on Route 1 until you reach the city of Wonju. From Wonju, switch to Route 56 heading towards Yanggu. Follow the signs to Yanggu and then take a left onto Unnamed Road. The Battle of Heartbreak Ridge is located along this road. Make sure to have a GPS device or map app to guide you through the final approach.
Public Transportation

From Gwangju, take a bus to Wonju. The bus ride takes approximately 2 hours and costs around 15,000 KRW. Upon arrival in Wonju, transfer to a local bus heading to Yanggu. The bus to Yanggu takes about 1 hour and costs around 7,000 KRW. Once you reach Yanggu, you can take a taxi to Unnamed Road. The taxi fare should be approximately 10,000 KRW.
