Depending on your starting point, take the Gwangju-Suwon Expressway (Route 25) or the Honam Expressway (Route 1) to reach Seoul. Expect to pay tolls along the way, which can vary from 5,000 KRW to 15,000 KRW depending on the distance. Once you reach Seoul, follow the signs for Jongno and find parking nearby, as there are several paid parking lots in the area.

Public Transportation
To reach Cheonggyecheon via public transportation, first make your way to Gwangju Bus Terminal or another major bus station in the Honam Region. Take an intercity bus to Seoul, which typically costs between 10,000 KRW and 20,000 KRW, depending on the service. Upon arriving at Seoul, transfer to the subway system. Board Line 1 (Blue Line) at Seoul Station and travel to Jonggak Station. From Jonggak Station, take Exit 5 and walk straight for about 5 minutes until you reach Cheonggyecheon. The entire journey can take around 2 to 3 hours, depending on traffic and transfer times.

For those preferring to travel by train, head to Gwangju Songjeong Station or another KTX station in the Honam Region. Purchase a KTX ticket to Seoul Station, which typically costs around 30,000 KRW to 50,000 KRW. Upon arrival at Seoul Station, transfer to Line 1 (Blue Line) of the subway. Travel to Jonggak Station and take Exit 5. Walk straight for about 5 minutes to reach Cheonggyecheon. The total travel time is usually about 2 hours, including the train journey and subway transfer.
