    From the center of Chueca, head southwest towards Calle de Hortaleza and turn right. Walk straight until you reach Plaza de Chueca. From Plaza de Chueca, continue straight onto Calle de Gran Vía and then take a left onto Calle de Preciados. Continue walking until you reach Plaza de Ópera. The Royal Palace of Madrid is just a short walk from here, located at C. de Bailén, s/n. It's about a 15-minute walk (approximately 1.2 km) from the heart of Chueca.

    From Chueca, walk to the Chueca Metro Station (L5). Take the metro towards Casa de Campo and get off at the Ópera station (only 2 stops). Upon exiting the station, head towards Plaza de Ópera, and you will see the Royal Palace a short walk away. The metro ticket costs around €1.50.

    You can also take a bus from Chueca. Walk to the nearest bus stop, which is located on Calle de Hortaleza. Catch bus number 44, which will take you towards Plaza de España.
