From here, walk south on Avenida de Eugenio Salazar for about 500 meters until you reach the intersection with Calle de José Ortega y Gasset. Turn left and continue straight for another 300 meters until you reach Plaza de Colón. The monument is located in the center of the square.

To take the Metro to reach the Monumento al Descubrimiento de América, find the nearest metro station, which could be 'Colón' on Line 4 (the brown line). Purchase a ticket from the ticket machine (around €1.50 for a single journey). Take the train towards 'Argüelles' and get off at the next stop, which is 'Colón.' Once you exit the station, follow the signs directing you to Plaza de Colón. The monument is directly in front of you as you exit the station.
