To reach Bambaragala Pathana by public transportation, catch a bus from Badulla town heading towards Hali-Ela. Inform the conductor you wish to get off at Wewekele. The bus ride will take about 30 minutes. Once you reach Wewekele, you may need to hire a tuk-tuk or walk about 2 km to reach the hiking area, as public transport may not go directly to the site.
