If you are driving, start from Kandy, which is approximately 15 kilometers away. Take the A1 highway (Kandy - Colombo Road) heading south. After about 10 kilometers, follow the signs to Kadugannawa. Merge onto Old Kandy Road, and the Kadugannawa Tunnel will be on your right. There is free parking available nearby.

From Kandy, you can take a bus heading towards Colombo. You will need to get off at Kadugannawa. Buses are frequent and cost around LKR 50-100. Once you arrive in Kadugannawa, walk along the Old Kandy Road for about 1 kilometer to reach the Kadugannawa Tunnel. Alternatively, you can take a tuk-tuk from the bus stop, which should cost approximately LKR 200-300.
