Walking
If you are starting from the center of Nuwara Eliya, head east on Post Office Rd towards the Nuwara Eliya Post Office. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with the A5 road. Turn left onto A5 and walk along this road for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass the Nuwara Eliya Golf Club on your right. Keep an eye out for the sign for 'Gadaladeniya Raja Maha Viharaya' as you approach the Gadaladeniya Paranapattiya Rd. Turn right onto Gadaladeniya Paranapattiya Rd and continue walking for about 500 meters until you reach the temple.

Find a tuk-tuk stand in Nuwara Eliya, such as near the Nuwara Eliya Bus Station. Inform the driver that you want to go to Gadaladeniya Raja Maha Viharaya, located on Gadaladeniya Paranapattiya Rd. The ride will take around 10-15 minutes. Make sure to ask the driver to drop you off as close to the temple entrance as possible.
