Getting There

  • Walking

    Start your journey from the center of Ella, near the Ella Railway Station. Head east on the Main Street (A23) towards the town center. Continue straight for about 600 meters until you reach the Ella Bridge. Cross the bridge and take the first left onto Rawanaella Road. Follow this road for about 1.5 kilometers, passing by local shops and tea estates. Keep an eye out for signs pointing towards 'Stump of Good Faith'. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, you will reach a fork in the road; take the right path. Continue for another 500 meters, and you'll see the entrance to Stump of Good Faith on your left.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Ella. Start from the Ella Railway Station and cycle east on the Main Street (A23). After about 600 meters, cross the Ella Bridge and take a left onto Rawanaella Road. Cycle along this road for approximately 1.5 kilometers, enjoying the scenic views. Watch for signs for Stump of Good Faith. At the fork in the road, take a right turn and continue for another 500 meters. The entrance will be on your left-hand side.

    To reach Stump of Good Faith via tuk-tuk, find a tuk-tuk at one of the stands near the Ella Railway Station or your accommodation. Inform the driver that you want to go to 'Stump of Good Faith' in Rawanaella. The ride will take about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will take you along the Main Street (A23), across the Ella Bridge, and then onto Rawanaella Road. They will know the exact location, so you can relax and enjoy the views. The tuk-tuk will drop you off right at the entrance.
