Getting There

  • Walking

    Start your journey from the center of Galle Fort, which is a popular tourist area. Exit the fort through the main gate and head towards Galle Main Street. Continue walking straight for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you reach the junction with Matara Road (A2). At this junction, turn left onto Matara Road. After about 800 meters, you will see signs directing you towards Paravi Duwa Temple. Continue on this road until you reach the Paravi Duwa Buddha Temple, located near the beach. The Paravi Duwa Bridge is adjacent to the temple and offers stunning views of the surrounding area.

  • Public Transport

    From Galle, head to the nearest bus station located on Yatawatta Road. Board a bus heading to Matara, which runs frequently. Inform the bus conductor to let you know when you reach Paravi Duwa Temple, which is about 30 minutes from Galle depending on traffic. Once you disembark, the Paravi Duwa Bridge is a short walk from the temple. Just follow the signs leading to the beach, and you will find the bridge easily.
