If you are in the center of Kandy, start at the Kandy Lake. Head north along the lakeside until you reach the main road (D. S. Senanayake Veediya). Cross the road and continue straight on Rajapihilla Mawatha. Follow this road as it curves to the right and leads you uphill. After a short walk, you will see signs directing you towards the Bahiravakanda Srī Abinawārāma Temple. The temple is located at the end of this road.

From anywhere in Kandy, you can easily find a tuk-tuk. Simply tell the driver to take you to 'Bahiravakanda Temple'. Most drivers will know the location due to its popularity. The ride should take around 10-15 minutes depending on traffic. The tuk-tuk will drop you off at the entrance of the temple.
