Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Kandy Lake, exit the lake area and head towards the main road, Ahalepola Kumarihami Mawatha. Walk towards the north along this road. After about 500 meters, you will see a large wall on your right side, which is the old prison wall. Continue walking for another 200 meters until you reach the entrance of Bogambara Cultural Park, located right next to the wall.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    If you prefer to take a tuk-tuk, simply inform the driver that you would like to go to Bogambara Cultural Park. Provide them with the address: 'Prison Wall, Ahalepola Kumarihami Mawatha, Kandy'. The ride should take approximately 10 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will drop you off at the entrance, which is easily identifiable by the large prison wall beside it.

  • Public Bus

    To reach Bogambara Cultural Park by public bus, find a bus heading to Kandy bus stand. From the bus stand, exit and walk towards Ahalepola Kumarihami Mawatha. Walk north along this road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the old prison wall. The park entrance is located just by the wall.
