Walking
If you are starting from the Kandy City Center, head towards the Kandy Lake and walk along the lake's edge. Continue walking straight until you reach the clock tower. From the clock tower, take the road that leads up to the Kandy General Hospital. Once you reach the hospital, continue straight and follow the road signs towards Hantana. This will lead you through a residential area. Keep walking straight until you reach the Hantana - Uduwela Road. The entrance to the Hanthana Hiking Road will be on your left.

Tuk-Tuk
From your accommodation in Kandy, you can easily find a tuk-tuk from the main street. Ask the driver to take you to Hantana - Uduwela Road. The ride will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes depending on traffic. Once you arrive, you will see the entrance to the Hanthana Hiking Road. Make sure to negotiate the fare before starting your journey.

Head to the Kandy Bus Station and look for buses heading towards Uduwela. They usually depart frequently. Ask the conductor to let you know when you reach Hantana - Uduwela Road. The journey should take around 30 minutes. After disembarking, walk a short distance to the entrance of Hanthana Hiking Road, which will be on your left.
