To reach Galpoththa using public transportation, start by taking a local bus from Kitulgala to Nawalapitiya. Buses frequently depart from the main bus station. The fare should be around 50 LKR and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Nawalapitiya, you will need to take a tuk-tuk or a taxi to Samanalagama Road. The cost for a tuk-tuk will be approximately 200-300 LKR. Ask the driver to take you to the Heightenford Platform.
