    Start your journey at Matara Bus Station. From the bus station, head south on Matara - Dondra Road (A2). Walk along this road for approximately 4 kilometers until you reach the Dondra area. Keep an eye out for local signs pointing towards Dondra Head Lighthouse. As you approach Dondra, you will see a sign indicating the direction to the lighthouse. Turn right onto Lighthouse Road. Continue walking straight for about 1 kilometer. The lighthouse will be on your left-hand side, visible from the road.

  • Tuk-Tuk

    From any location in Matara, you can easily catch a tuk-tuk to Dondra Head Lighthouse. Simply tell the driver you want to go to 'Dondra Head Lighthouse.' The journey will take around 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. The driver will take you along Matara - Dondra Road (A2) and then turn onto Lighthouse Road. You will arrive directly at the lighthouse.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Matara. Start from the city center and head south on Matara - Dondra Road (A2). The ride is about 5 kilometers to the Dondra area. Once you reach Dondra, look for Lighthouse Road on your right. Cycle down Lighthouse Road, and after about 1 kilometer, you will see Dondra Head Lighthouse on your left.
