Getting There

Tuk-Tuk
From the center of Matara, head to the main road (Galle Road). You can find tuk-tuks readily available around the Matara Bus Station or near the beach area. Tell the driver to take you to 'Talalla Surf Camp' or give them the address: 'WJVC+98F, Talalla Retreat, Sampaya House, Talalla South, Gandara 81170'. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic. The tuk-tuk will drop you off right at the entrance of the camp.

Local Bus
From Matara, walk to the Matara Bus Station. Look for buses heading towards 'Talalla' or 'Gandara'. Buses are frequent, but it’s wise to check the schedule. The fare is very affordable (around 30-50 LKR). Inform the bus conductor that your stop is 'Talalla Surf Camp' or 'Gandara'. Disembark at the Talalla bus stop, and from there, it's a short 10-15 minute walk to the camp. Follow the road signs towards Talalla Retreat.

Walking
If you're feeling adventurous and the weather is nice, you can walk from the center of Matara to Talalla Surf Camp. The walk is approximately 7 km and will take around 1.5 to 2 hours. Start by heading south on Galle Road, then turn onto the road leading to Talalla South, following signs for the beach. Make sure to stay hydrated and wear comfortable shoes.
