There is parking available near the site, and be mindful of any parking fees that may apply.

From Kandy, take a bus from the Kandy Central Bus Stand heading to Polonnaruwa. The journey takes approximately 3-4 hours. Once you arrive at the Polonnaruwa bus station, you can either walk to the historical site or take a tuk-tuk. The site is about 2 kilometers from the bus station. Tuk-tuks are available and typically cost around 300-500 LKR to reach the historical place.
