Walking
If you're starting from Polonnaruwa's Ancient City, head east on the main street (Nissanka Latha Mandapaya Road) until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Sigiriya Road. Continue walking straight for approximately 10 kilometers. You will pass several small shops and local eateries along the way. As you approach Sigiriya, you will begin to see signs for the Lion's Paw. Keep walking until you reach the entrance of the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, where you will find the Lion's Paw.

Bicycle Rental
Rent a bicycle from one of the local rental shops in Polonnaruwa, which are generally located near the Ancient City entrance. Once you have your bicycle, head east on Nissanka Latha Mandapaya Road toward the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Sigiriya Road. The ride is about 10 kilometers and will take approximately 30-45 minutes. As you cycle, enjoy the beautiful scenery around you. Look for signs indicating the Lion's Paw as you near Sigiriya. There are bike racks available at the entrance to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress.

Tuk-Tuk
Find a tuk-tuk stand near the Ancient City entrance or hail one from the street. Tell the driver you want to go to the Lion's Paw at Sigiriya. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes, depending on traffic. The tuk-tuk will drop you off at the entrance to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, where you will see the Lion's Paw at the base of the rock.
