If you're driving from Åre to The Royal Palace in Stockholm, start by getting onto E14 from Åre. Continue on E14 until you reach the E4 motorway, which you will take south towards Stockholm. Follow the E4 signs for about 600 km. As you approach Stockholm, take the exit towards 'Sundbyberg/Vällingby' and follow signs for 'Stockholm city center'. The Royal Palace is located at Kungliga slottet, 107 70 Stockholm. Parking options are available nearby, but please note that some parking facilities may incur fees.

To travel by train from Åre to Stockholm, start by taking the SJ train from Åre station to Stockholm Central Station. Trains run regularly, and the journey takes approximately 8 hours. Once you arrive at Stockholm Central Station, exit the train and follow the signs to the T-Centralen subway station. Take the subway (Tunnelbana) to Gamla Stan station. From Gamla Stan, it's a short 10-minute walk to The Royal Palace. Head east on Slottsbacken, and you will see the palace in front of you.

Another option is to take a long-distance bus from Åre to Stockholm. Companies such as FlixBus operate this route. The bus ride can take around 12 hours, so plan accordingly. Upon arrival at the bus station in Stockholm, you can take the T-bana (subway) from Cityterminalen to Gamla Stan station. The Royal Palace is a short walk from there as described previously.
