Car
If you are driving from Ngorongoro Crater, head southeast on the road leading out of the crater towards Karatu. Continue on this road for approximately 30 km until you reach the town of Karatu. Once in Karatu, look for the MMW8+CP7 location on your GPS or follow local signage. Kitela Lodge is located just outside of town, and you will need to follow the signs to the lodge as you approach. There are no tolls on this route, but be mindful of local traffic and road conditions.

From any location in the Ngorongoro Highlands, you can take a matatu (shared taxi) to Karatu. Head to the nearest matatu stand and board a matatu heading to Karatu. The fare is usually around 3000-5000 TZS (Tanzanian Shillings), depending on your starting point. Once you arrive in Karatu, you can either walk or take a local taxi to reach Kitela Lodge, which is about 5-10 minutes away from the town center. Ensure you confirm the location with the driver or locals to ensure you are heading in the right direction.
