Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from the Tanga Central Market, head east on Jamhuri Street until you reach the junction with Mwambao Street. Turn right onto Mwambao Street and continue walking straight until you reach the shoreline. From there, head north along the coast towards the Tanga Coelacanth Marine Park entrance. The park is located near the coastline and should be visible after about a 30-minute walk.

  • Bicycle

    Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Tanga. Start your journey at the Tanga Central Market and cycle east on Jamhuri Street for about 1 km. When you reach the junction with Mwambao Street, turn right and continue cycling for another 2 km along Mwambao Street until you reach the coast. Once you hit the shoreline, follow the coast north for approximately 1 km to reach the entrance of Tanga Coelacanth Marine Park.
