Getting There

• Public Bus

  To reach Amarillo Zoo from downtown Amarillo, first, locate the nearest bus stop. You can catch the Amarillo City Transit bus route 1, which runs frequently throughout the day. Board the bus heading towards 'Westgate Mall' and stay on for about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the stop near the intersection of Amarillo Blvd and Comanchero Trail. • Bicycle

Turn left and walk down Georgia Street until you hit Amarillo Boulevard. Take a right and walk along Amarillo Boulevard until you reach Comanchero Trail. Turn left on Comanchero Trail, and the zoo will be located on your left within a 15-20 minute walk.

  For a more direct route, consider using a taxi or rideshare service like Uber or Lyft. Simply enter 'Amarillo Zoo' or the address '700 Comanchero Trail, Amarillo, TX 79107' into the app. The drivers in Amarillo are familiar with the area, and it should take about 10-15 minutes from downtown Amarillo to reach the zoo, depending on traffic.
